We participate in the entire value chain from sourcing, shipping, and logistics management to marketing and distribution, placing significant emphasis on the quality of the rice.
At MRB, Trading our trained and tested quality control inspectors ensure excellence at every stage of production and packing in manufacturing facilities prior to shipment.
Our shipping department manages about five handy size vessels for rice at any given point in time enabling us guarantee timely and cost effective delivery of rice to our customers. We support several of our destination markets with extensive warehousing and distribution networks, allowing us to market the rice through our own distribution channels. Our superior support and positioning has made it possible for multiple brands partnered with Phoenix, attain a household name status in many markets today.

As a key player in the global rice business, Phoenix handles a wide range of rice varieties including premium rice. The superior quality of our premium rice is assured through rigorous systems and procedures. We place trained quality control inspectors at every stage of production from upstream growers and origins to midstream sourcing and marketing, all the way to downstream processing and storage.
Our involvement in the Sugar industry began as an extension to our existing rice business with the import of our first consignment into East Africa in 2002. We utilize the same network today for trading and distribution of sugar, enabling us to provide sugar competitively to our existing buyers in Africa and the Middle East.
We trade close to 80,000 metric tonnes of sugar annually to a select and regular clientele, many a times providing them with rice and sugar combination cargo parcels, ensuring individual quality control and consistent delivery.
